My mother Thelma Townsend Sheldon taught me how to do beadwork in the 1960’s. It was fun sitting with her, with beads, needles and thread spread around the kitchen table, learning how to bead medallions, loomwork and keychains. It was like a little quilting bee, the two of us sharing our projects, our ideas and encouraging the other. And we laughed. Here are some photos of my beadwork over the years.
